The group Jim's OC buys from is called AAPOSA. With approximately 140 farmers, they are one of the smaller growing groups in the Santiago Atitlan area. Their commitment to organic is complete. When Roya (a coffee fungus) plagued coffee throughout Central America, many farms were forced to spray fungicides and lose their organic certification. To combat the rust, AAPOSA pruned their shade trees to allow the proper balance of sun and shade and greatly reduce the Roya.
